Most facilities lack any real outdoor space, resulting in a cramped, congested feeling for the entirety of your stay. At WhiteSands, we recognize that nationwide relapse rates are abysmal and something that we want to work to change. The standard relapse prevention groups and work has not been successful for the majority of individuals struggling with addiction. We have made many changes to our program experience in addressing the prevention of relapse. Boxing has proven to be beneficial in the recovery process and many guests who partake in this program have continued boxing post-treatment.

Individualized, evidence based treatment, to fit your needs.
There is no one-size-fits-all approach to addiction recovery. Each person’s journey to recovery is different, and treatment should also be unique. For some people, abstinence-only recovery seems intimidating. These individuals may think they can only succeed in a harm reduction model, where they practice safer approaches to drug use rather than abstinence. The truth is that abstinence-based recovery, like we practice here at Boca Recovery Center, boasts higher success rates.
Residents enjoy private rooms with comfortable furnishings and a smart TV. They have access to joint recreational areas, including a full gym, game room, barbeque area, and basketball court. Clients can function independently in their apartment-style living and cook their own meals. Machines are in neighborhoods with high rates of overdose death.
Kaiser Permanente primary care physicians are trained to screen for possible alcohol misuse at every appointment and connect members who need support to addiction medicine specialists. If your doctor brings up concerns, it doesn’t mean you have a problem. It’s just another way they’re looking after your health — no different than taking your blood pressure and sharing the results with you. The sober house goal is to help you understand the risks, empower you to make informed choices about your health, and help you take whatever steps you’re ready to take. The maintaining abstinence stage of rehab will begin at about three months into your rehabilitation program and last until you reach approximately five years clean and sober, at which time the follow-up counseling will usually terminate.
Our professional team has amassed several hundred years of treatment experience while treating over 45,000 patients. We are mindful of cost, so the majority of our services are covered and included in many insurance plans. We are unified in our approach to helping patients confront and overcome their chemical and/or alcohol dependency, and to assist them in developing strategies for maintaining a chemical-free lifestyle to enhance their quality of life. Research studies consistently
demonstrate that such techniques improve self-control and social skills and thus
help reduce drinking (American Psychiatric
Association, 1995). Some of the strategies used are self-monitoring,
goal setting, rewards for goal attainment, and learning new coping skills.

Learning to implement these strategies not only will help you remain sober, but you will also have the skills to become a healthier person, a better spouse and parent, a productive member of society, and a good neighbor and citizen. Also during this stage of your rehabilitation, you will learn to put the tools that you learned in early abstinence to use in other areas of your life, so that you can continue to live a truly sober lifestyle. You will discover that your future quality of life depends on more than simply not using. Many inpatient rehabs offer financing options for those without insurance.
- Your provider can help you get screened for substance use problems and related issues (like PTSD or depression)—and can offer treatment and support as needed.
- When not in boxing class, guests have access to both types of bags (speed and heavy).
- Inpatient addiction treatment is covered by Medicare Part A and out-of-pocket costs are the same as those for hospital stays.
- Those changes can result in the development of a mental illness.

This provides greater continuity of care and medical providers who know a patient’s history with trust already established. At WhiteSands, we recognize that humans are by nature creatures of habit that can be prone to addiction and obsessive behaviors. Individuals with addictive personalities are going to struggle with moderation in any area of their life. At WhiteSands, we first focus on the harmful addictive behavior that is leading them to enter treatment and has been destructive in their daily lives. We support patients by helping them create healthy habits, which can become a new part of their daily routine. We also help them avoid falling into the pitfall of other harmful addictive behaviors following completion of our treatment program. Unfortunately, many people may hesitate to seek addiction treatment because they don’t know how to get into substance abuse rehab without insurance.
